Singer/songwriter Martin Breeze started his musical education growing up in Adelaide, South Australia listening to his parents’ diverse musical tastes. It was anything from Blood, Sweat and Tears to Willie Nelson and Frank Sinatra. In 1992 Martin moved to Melbourne to branch out and with a view to eventually starting up his own quartet. Over the next ten years he performed with artists like Joe Chindamo, Allan Browne, Stephen Magnusson, Sam Keevers, Bob Sedergreen, James Sherlock, Niko Schauble among many others. He has performed at a number of festivals both nationally and internationally and was a regular guest on daytime TV’s “Good Morning Australia” with Bert Newton.
In 1996 he was a finalist in The National Jazz Competition for vocalists and went on to do a string of live to air recordings with the ABC.
Martin was invited to perform as one of 12 finalists worldwide for the 2006 London International Jazz Competition for vocalists.
He makes his long awaited debut at the Jazzlab with his stellar band including Luke Howard (Piano), Johathan Zion (Acoustic Bass), and Daniel Farrugia (Drums)
