Over the past 20 years he has established himself as one of the most in demand saxophonists in the UK and Europe.
In 2012 he founded The Brandon Allen Sextet, producing new arrangements that featured some of the top jazz/session musicians in the UK.

Led by composer/arrangers Cheryl Durongpisitkul and Madison James Smith, the orchestra celebrates Melbourne’s next generation of instrumentalists.
The Boys from Prague + Ingrid James (Qld)
Ingrid James, an award-winning Jazz vocalist from Queensland, known for “moving gracefully between traditional jazz and soulful blues with a powerful, yet sultry vocal resonance”, is joining forces with musical colleagues from Prague, Libor Smoldas (guitar), “one of the fastest-rising talents on the Prague jazz scene”(The Prague Post)’ ,Jakub Zomer (hammond organ/voice), known for his “roaring organ solos” (Downbeat Magazine); and from Melbourne, celebrated drummer, Gideon Marcus. Together they will present a fun program of cool and hip swing and Bossa-novas, all set to the rich grooves and sounds of hammond organ, guitar, voice and drums.
